Questions and answers
Before we meet
Taking the first step can be difficult. These answers may help you get started.
Before we meet
Getting started, arranging a date and what to expect.
Do I need to know what kind of help I need?
No. You can get in touch even when it's difficult to put your experience into words. Our first conversation gives us space to explore your situation and needs together.
How long does a meeting last?
A meeting usually lasts 50 minutes. We agree individually on the frequency and arrangements for ongoing work, taking your needs into account.
Can I bring someone close to me?
Yes. If having someone close helps you feel safe, you can bring them to the first conversation. Let me know when arranging the meeting.
How do I arrange a date and find out the fee?
Call or write to me. We'll agree on an available date, the format and the current fee before you decide to book.
Where can I find information before a meeting?
The “Your first meeting” page explains how to get in touch, arrange a date and prepare for an in-person or online conversation. It also includes examples of how to begin when it's hard to find the words.

Are online meetings available?
Yes. I offer in-person meetings in Szczecin and online meetings with people across Poland. We'll agree on the format when you get in touch.
Do you also support loved ones of people who are ill?
Yes. Psycho-oncology support is also for partners, family and others alongside someone who is ill. Your feelings and needs deserve attention too.
Can I ask about a workshop for a group?
Yes. I run psychoeducational workshops for businesses, patients and professionals. Tell me who the meeting is for and what matters to your group. We agree the scope, format and fees individually.
Can we talk in English?

Do I need a cancer diagnosis?
No. I also support people through crisis, bereavement and difficult experiences, and people looking for support with relationships or everyday life.
Are there support groups?
I lead support groups. Please contact me to ask about current availability, who a group is for, dates and participation guidelines. There is no automatic registration on this website.
Do you also work with older people?
Yes. I work with older people too. We agree the form and scope of support after discussing the person's situation and needs.
Can I come after treatment has ended?
Yes. The end of treatment doesn't necessarily mean the end of needing to talk. Support is also available during remission and as you return to everyday life.
